The Makings of a Fellowship Quest

Not all fellowship quests are created equal. The simplest indicators—quest level and a small-fellowship or full-fellowship icon—only tell part of the story.

Some fellowship quests feature harrowing tactical challenges requiring careful teamwork and a bit of luck to overcome, while others are straightforward and forgiving, achievable on the fly but focused on dramatic encounters that are simply too big for a single hero to manage alone. One quest may consist of a single battle against an overwhelming opponent, while the next involves a grueling series of engagements against wave after wave of bloodthirsty grunts.

What all fellowship quests have in common, though, are foes too tough to vanquish alone. Expect to face multiple Elite monsters at a time and unique opponents with terrifying and deadly powers. Even with a full fellowship of six capable heroes, you’ll sometimes find your crew outnumbered by creatures that you’d be wise to fear.

Sometimes you need the strength of a fellowship to take on even a single, Herculean foe like, say, an enormous, malicious, Man-hurling turtle.
