We're pleased to announce the return of the LOTRO “Design a Horse Contest!”

LOTRO fans, it's time to show us your artistic and creative skills once again: we’re giving you the opportunity to submit your very own design for a horse which could be taken and implemented into the game as a player mount in a future content update.  The horse will be gifted to players who visit the Turbine booth at PAX East!

Below you can find the design template to use when creating your unique design. Please note, you only need to complete the side on view to complete a successful entry. The top-down and front views are there for additional details if you wish to provide them.

The areas of customization on the mount include: 

• Horse's color and marking
• Horse blanket pattern and color
• Horse saddle

In addition to having your horse design implemented in the live game, the winner will also receive a free copy of their mount to use in-game!

Entries must be postmarked no later than January 3, 2011.
• Submissions must be original creations. Any designs that are found to be copies or recreations of existing designs (related to The Lord of the Rings™ or otherwise) will not be considered in the final judging. 
• Submissions should include the contestant's real name, email address, and primary community name (if any) and must conform to the template provided. 
• This contest is open to all legal U.S. residents age 18 or older. 
• This contest begins on Tuesday December 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM Eastern (-5 GMT). Submissions will be accepted until11:59 PM Eastern (-5 GMT) January 7, 2011. 
• Turbine reserves the right to tweak the winning submissions as necessary. 
• The names of the winning contestants and the winning submissions will be posted on lotro.com by Friday January 14th, 2011. 
• All winners will be required to execute an Assignment and Release to be provided by Turbine. The signed release must be returned to Turbine by January 13, 2011.  

Participation in the contest constitutes players' full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these rules and terms and conditions. By submitting an entry, each player grants Turbine, Inc. a royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to reproduce, modify, prepare derivative works of, publicly display and otherwise use, in its sole discretion, any entry in any and all media for any and all purposes, including, but not limited to, incorporation into future Turbine, Inc. products or services and the advertisement and/or promotion of Turbine, Inc. products or services.
