The following terms and conditions apply to the 10-Day Free Trial Program (the "Free Trial") for The Lord of the Rings Onlineâ„¢, inclusive of any content updates and/or expansion packs, if any (the "Game") played on servers hosted by Turbine, Inc. ("Turbine") in North America. Participation in the Free Trial is optional and voluntary.

1. There is a limit of one Free Trial per valid email address.
2. Your Free Trial begins when you create your account and ends ten (10) days later.
3. Free Trial accounts have restrictions in place that prevent the use of certain features and functionality, such as in-game mail, auction houses, trading with other players, and the sending of tells in the Game. Free Trial accounts also have posting limitations on the message boards. All of these limitations are removed once a Free Trial player upgrades to a standard account.
   
4. At any point during your Free Trial, you can choose to upgrade to a standard account and receive full access to all Game features. You can upgrade to a standard account either by opting for the direct to subscription mode or purchase the game client.
5. Direct to subscription mode: at any point of time during your Free Trial, you can subscribe to the game to get full access to all games features by selecting any of the subscription membership plan available at myaccount.turbine.com. The direct to subscription option gives you access to the full content of The Lord of The Rings Onlineâ„¢: Shadows of Angmarâ„¢ and The Lord of the Rings Onlineâ„¢: Mines of Moriaâ„¢ expansion.
6. Purchase the game client: at any point of time during your Free Trial, you can purchase the full version of the game at the Turbine Store. The purchase of the game client gives you access to the full content of The Lord of The Rings Onlineâ„¢: Shadows of Angmarâ„¢, The Lord of the Rings Onlineâ„¢: Mines of Moriaâ„¢ expansion and The Lord of the Rings Onlineâ„¢: Siege of Mirkwoodâ„¢ expansion, and 30 days of Free game time.
7. At the end of your Free Trial, you will not have access to your characters unless you purchase or subscribe to the Game.

You should review Turbine's Privacy Policy before participating in the Free Trial. Turbine will use your email address in accordance with the terms and conditions of its Privacy Policy. Your acceptance of and compliance with the applicable End User License Agreement, Code of Conduct and Terms of Service is required. Turbine reserves the right to terminate your account if you violate such end user agreements.

Only players located in North America, Australia and New Zealand are eligible for the Free Trial. Gameplay requires Internet connection. You are responsible for your own telecommunications charges. Your personal computer must meet certain minimum system requirements to play the Game; however, the recommended system requirements are advised for better performance. Gameplay is subject to network and server availability and may be interrupted by the service provider for testing and system and software updates. Free Trial accounts have no cash value and are non-refundable and non-transferable. The Free Trial is void where prohibited. The Free Trial is subject to change and may be suspended or terminated by Turbine at any time for any or no reason, and with or without notice.
